MILDURA ZEN
Mildura is in North West Victoria, Australia. Ordinary people and practitioners of the way regularly come together to practice the Dharma, Zen meditation, Sutras and Koans in a friendly supportive environment.
Wayne Rankin is the groups guiding teacher. The ‘Diamond Sangha’ is a lay tradition of Zen Buddhism which draws on both the Linji (Rinzai) and Caodong (Soto) schools. The ‘Diamond Sangha’ came through the ‘Sanbo Kyodan’ (Jap), with a line stretching back to Shakyamuni Buddha.
Wayne started formal Zen Buddhist study in 1980 with Robert Aitken Roshi, and was authorized to teach in the Diamond Sangha Zen Buddhist tradition by Subhana Barzaghi Roshi.
